Years of experience meet the know-how of the next generation

Promoting new talent is important to CB Multilingual (CBM). For this reason, we welcome Charlotte Van de Velde to the team for a one-month period during the summer of 2021. During her time here, Charlotte will support us in the update of process documentation (including the management of translations using CAT tools), and with administrative tasks and order coordination.
This internship has arisen through the longstanding partnership between CBM and the “European Master’s in Technology for Translation and Interpreting” program at the University of Wolverhampton (UK). As an Associated Partner, we offer students of this master’s program the opportunity to gain relevant practical experience through internships, and thus support their successful completion of the program.
After a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics at the University of Amsterdam, Charlotte is now close to finishing her second academic degree. She is not only extremely linguistically gifted (she is fluent in English and Dutch, and has a good command of German, Spanish and French), but also brings in-depth knowledge in the areas of programming (Python), marketing–implementation and concepts for social media campaigns and blog posts – as well as graphic design. All of this makes her the perfect support for the goals of CBM: to increase our digital presence and digitalise business processes in general, whilst serving our customers proactively, personally, and precisely as usual.
With her quick comprehension and communication skills, Charlotte will not only enrich the CBM team, but also serve our customers in our typical friendly, professional and fast manner.
We will soon be able to tell you more about our internships at CBM – stay tuned for our next news entry.
