Having graduated in architecture at the Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Lausanne, Silvia soon rediscovered her passion for languages and completed additional studies to qualify as a conference interpreter. She subsequently undertook further training in terminology, corporate communications and business administration. Silvia has many years of experience working in a variety of management positions on both the client and supplier sides of the language services sector, and as a consultant and trainer in terminology and translation. Her core competencies lie in forming and leading teams of translators to develop solutions for corporate language projects and in optimising linguistic processes.

Silvia has been certified member of the Swiss association of translators, terminologists and interpreters ASTTI since 2006. She also served as Vice President (2008-2011) and Board member (2007-2022) of ASTTI. As an ECQA-certified terminology trainer, she has led numerous ECQA Certified Terminology Manager certification training sessions. She is fluent in English, German, French, Italian and Spanish.
